The new Sensefly eBee has landed in Australia.  It has unsurpassed portability, accuracy and performance.  See it at our Technology Days all around the country.

With its 16MP high resolution camera, the Sensefly eBee can capture images with a ground resolution of 3 to 30cm per pixel. Areas from 1.5 to 10km2 can be mapped in a single flight depending on image resolution and flight altitude. The eBee package includes fully automated 3D processing software to create precise geo-referenced orthomosaic and 3D digital elevation model (DEM).

The eBee is the most portable and lightweight UAV on the market with a weight of only 630g and wings that detach to fit the whole system into a small case weighing less than 10kg. Although very small, it has a high power variable speed motor which allows it to fly for 45 minutes in winds up to 45 km/h. Launching is by hand and easily achieved within 5 minutes of arriving on site.

With artificial intelligence the eBee takes off, flies and lands autonomously, without a single button push. No piloting skills needed. In addition it has a ground distance sensor that assists with collision avoidance, and also guides the eBee into gentle straight line landings typically in an area a few metres square. As the eBee senses the ground on landing the UAV flares the wings and reverses the motor for a gentle touchdown. The electronics are also protected in the top housing with an easily replaceable bottom housing and wings for an extended life span.

If you would like to see the eBee fly and see what deliverables can be achieved, then please come along to one of our 11 national Technology Days . . . or if you miss them, then contact us for a demonstration.
